Bunch of Grapes

Southwark is a really cool, up-and-coming neighborhood; nice bars and restaurants are everywhere.  It feels kind of like Brooklyn’s DUMBO ten years ago.  In search of a good glass of wine for Olivia (which has been hard to find in London), we pick an tavern called Bunch of Grapes for drinks and a nice dinner (it’s a Young’s tied house; they own 220 pubs, and claim to be Britain’s oldest brewing company, having purchased The Ram Brewing Company in 1831).   Afterward, we Tube it back to Earl's Court and a nightcap at the Earls Court Tavern.
