We hop in a cab and head to Southwark, on the south side of London Bridge, to Borough Market, a newly-built outdoor food market.  Alas, the market is largely closed for the day, so we head across the street to The Market Porter, a phenomenal beer bar.  It's one the few bars in London that specializes in what we call "craft" brewing, with dozens of beers from new, small breweries, as well as a few "experimental" beers by some of the bigger breweries.  It seems to be a popular after-work spot; the crowd spills out onto the sidewalk and the cobblestone street.
